General steps to set system to maximum performance mode

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

Sometimes there is a question what steps should be done to tune the OS to (highest) maximum performance mode (including options for BIOS/firmware).
This document does not tell how to reduce jitter from OS side.

If there is an intention to reduce the jitter from OS side or any other interruptions caused by BIOS/firmware it is better to follow another KCS/guide Low Latency Performance Tuning for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and to check with vendor of hardware if specific low-latency tuning guide exists for that hardware.
