Half-removed node in a RHEL 6 pacemaker-based cluster

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • During a node removal in a RHEL 6 pacemaker-based cluster, we ended up with node absent from coroync configuration, while pacemaker's CIB still contains that node.
  • We followed official recommendations for deleting a node in the cluster (pcs cluster node remove node).
  • We ran the command from the node that was to be removed (the argument of the pcs cluster node remove was the node where this command was run from).
  • 'pcs status' still displays that deleted node, and it is seen as OFFLINE.
