Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • During the creation and initial configuration of a CA instance where the  CA signing certificate is first created. the configuratiom wizard does  not provide the option to select the signature algorithm. It is set to  MD5withRSA.
  • Problem 1:If you were running the wizard to create the CA signing cert  with RSA key and wanted a SHA-x signature, you will end up having to  redo the CA signing certificate.
  • Problem 2: This will cause problems when the wizard is used to create the CA cert with ECC key
