Why is my Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 losing network connectivity while syslog has log entries from the 'be2net' module about "Out of MCCQ wrbs"?

Issue

  • Server loses network connectivity becoming completely inaccessible - ssh and pings do not even work. However, the server is operational from it's integrated Lights Out (iLO) remote console.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Emulex 10Gb NIC
  • Hewlett Packard Blade Server
