Java client sending TCP RESET to server

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • At certain instances the Java client sends TCP RESET to the server. Typically a number of TCP SYN/FIN messages are sent before sending the TCP RESET packets. The Java client process stops communicating until it is restarted. The same sequence of events re-occurs a few times until the situation stabilizes.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Custom Java client communicating with a remote server (Alcatel SDM) using CORBA
