After configuring Red Hat Certificate System 8.0 every configuration points to localhost.localdomain instead of the proper hostname
Issue
- Configuring Certificate Server gives wrong URLs
- After installing certificate server 8.0 on a RHEL 5.8 system, and configuring the pki-ca subsystem, the URLs in the configuration all point to localhost.localdomain:
[root@puas12 ~]# service pki-ca status
pki-ca (pid 29020) is running ...
Unsecure Port = http://localhost.localdomain:9180/ca/ee/ca
Secure Agent Port = https://localhost.localdomain:9443/ca/agent/ca
Secure EE Port = https://localhost.localdomain:9444/ca/ee/ca
Secure Admin Port = https://localhost.localdomain:9445/ca/services
EE Client Auth Port = https://localhost.localdomain:9446/ca/eeca/ca
PKI Console Port = pkiconsole https://localhost.localdomain:9445/ca
Tomcat Port = 9701 (for shutdown)
PKI Instance Name: pki-ca
PKI Subsystem Type: Root CA (Security Domain)
- Only after manually replacing the URLs in various config files:
/etc/rhpki-ca/CS.cfg
/etc/rhpki-ca/server.xml
/etc/dirsrv/admin-serv/local.conf
/etc/dirsrv/admin-serv/adm.conf
/etc/dirsrv/admin-serv/console.conf
/etc/dirsrv/admin-serv/local.conf
- The configuration is correct:
[root@puas12 ~]# service pki-ca status
pki-ca (pid 29020) is running ...
Unsecure Port = http://server.int.domain:9180/ca/ee/ca
Secure Agent Port = https://server.int.domain:9443/ca/agent/ca
Secure EE Port = https://server.int.domain:9444/ca/ee/ca
Secure Admin Port = https://server.int.domain:9445/ca/services
EE Client Auth Port = https://server.int.domain:9446/ca/eeca/ca
PKI Console Port = pkiconsole https://server.int.domain:9445/ca
Tomcat Port = 9701 (for shutdown)
PKI Instance Name: pki-ca
PKI Subsystem Type: Root CA (Security Domain)
- We can't find any action in the installation manual to set the hostname can you tell us how to fix this in the correct way?
Environment
- Red Hat Certificate System 8.0
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8
