In Seam my @Asynchronous method is behaving synchronously

Issue

We have a Seam application using quartz-dispatcher, it seems like it only works to call asynchronous methods when I am raising AsynchronousEvent. But if a method is annotated with @Asynchronous, it is not running asynchronous, but rater synchronous.
