JMS bridges do not reconnect when remote TIBCO EMS server is restarted

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a JBoss EAP instance which hosts some JMS bridges between queues on a remote Amazon-managed ActiveMQ instance, and queues on a TIBCO EMS instance.
  • In order for the bridges to work, we added a module to JBoss (see attached module.xml), which uses a TIBCO client library (attached), and of course perform some custom configuration on the standalone file (attached).
  • Our customer has a policy that at night the TIBCO EMS server is shut down, while ActiveMQ and JBoss EAP remain up and running.
In the morning, TIBCO EMS is restarted, however, the JMS bridges where TIBCO EMS is the "source", do not reconnect, unless we restart JBoss.
