How to configure FTP in LVS/Piranha Direct Routing with IPTABLES

Issue

  • Cannot connect to ftp via RH load balancer (piranha)
  • We have installed/configured the piranha load balancer for ssh/http and ftp. We have successfully tested SSH and HTTP. However, for ftp we get error:
ftp: connect: Connection refused

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6
  • Piranha
