Issue

  • The pcp pidstat -h command fails with an error: invalid option -- 'h'
# pcp pidstat -h `hostname`
pcp-pidstat: invalid option -- 'h'
Usage: pcp-pidstat [options]

General options:
  -a FILE, --archive=FILE
                        metrics source is a PCP log archive
  -h HOST, --host=HOST  metrics source is PMCD on host
  -s N, --samples=N     terminate after this many samples
  -t DELTA, --interval=DELTA
                        sampling interval
  -G NAME, --process-name=NAME
                        Select process names using regular expression.
  -I                    In SMP environment, show CPU usage per processor.
  -U [USERNAME], --user-name=[USERNAME]
                        Show real user name of the tasks and optionally filter by user name.
  -p PID1,PID2..  , --pid-list=PID1,PID2..  
                        Show stats for specified pids, Use SELF for current process and ALL for all processes.
  -R                    Report realtime priority and scheduling policy information.
  -r                    Report page faults and memory utilization.
  -k                    Report stack utilization.
  -f                    Format the timestamp output
  -B                    Report process state information. Use -B [all] or -B [comma separated states]. Use -B detail for showing time spent in every state per process
  -V, --version         display version number and exit
  -Z TZ, --timezone=TZ  set reporting timezone
  -z, --hostzone        set reporting timezone to local time of metrics source
  -l                    Display the process command name and all its arguments.
  -?, --help            show this usage message and exit
