Kdump wrongfully states that the crashkernel parameter is not specified - RHEL 5
Issue
- kdump shows
FAILEDat startup with the follow entries in/var/log/messages:
kdump: No crashkernel parameter specified for running kernel
kdump: failed to start up
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 or earlier
- kexec-tools prior to 1.102pre-161.el5
