-bash: fork: Resource temporally unavailable

Issue

When system is in hung state and connection is possible only via remote console (iLO etc.) and tried to run command it is throwing error:

"-bash: fork: Resource temporally unavailable".

When I run command "ifconfig -a" to see how many error occures on the system interface, the same message show on the console "-bash: fork: Resource temporally unavailable".

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
