Using mod_proxy when using SSL I'm seeing [error] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: proxy: prefetch request body failed

Issue

  • Intermittently, our client using IE 6 will not receive a response while executing a search within a web application. The request is sent using AJAX. Closing the browser and redoing search fixes the issue.  When the search fails we see the following [error] in the Apache error_log:

    [error] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: proxy: prefetch request body failed to 127.0.0.1:8080 (127.0.0.1) from 192.168.0.1 ()
