When configuring fence_rsa it gives the error: Failed: Unable to obtain correct plug status or plug is not available

Issue

  • Tried to configure fence_rsa, the fence-agent script reported below error.
Failed: Unable to obtain correct plug status or plug is not available
  • The output of fence_rsa -o status -a 192.168.10.1 -l admin -p myPassword shows power on rather than Power: On
system> power state
power on
State:Booting OS or in unsupported OS
system>Failed: Unable to obtain correct plug status or plug is not available

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6, or 7 with the High Availability Add On
  • Using fence_rsa for fencing/stonith for one or more nodes
  • Using RSA board , IBM RSA II firmware 1AOO26N (and possibly other versions)
