Issue

  • when attempting to start apache the following error is thrown:
Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 221 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/mod_cluster.conf: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_slotmem.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_slotmem.so: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x
  • JBoss Enterprise Web Platform 5.x
