Can't access Cluster Console after changing openshift_master_cluster_public_hostname in OCP3

Issue

After changing openshift_master_cluster_public_hostname the pod openshift-console throws errors:

server: authentication failed: unauthenticated
auth: unable to verify auth code with issuer: Post https://<public_hostname>:8443/oauth/token:  x509: certificate signed by unknown authority
server: authentication failed: unauthenticated
server: authentication failed: unauthenticated
