What is the impact of not using the default User Private Groups scheme?
Issue
We have a custom tool to manage user accounts. Unfortunately it requires that the users created have a specific shared primary group.
This changes the default User Private Groups (UPG) scheme is the same in all RHEL releases.
- What do we need to modify to accomodate for this? (e.g. umask, defaults?)
- What is the impact of such a change?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) all versions
