Using partprobe on /dev/mapper devices exposes extended partition if it exists in RHEL5
Issue
- Clients are reporting that some EMC LUNS being presented to a 5.3 host are having the p4 extended partition get misread in device-mapper and even show some size which causes them trouble when Oracle is trying to use it for writing data and subsequently are losing some data.
