Security bug in libvirt networking. dnsmasq does not validate directory existence.

Issue

  • While creating the VM, after injecting an extra dnsmasq option into the tftp root key virsh is going to accept this and start the network UP.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (Santiago)

    • libvirt-0.9.4-23.el6_2.6.x86_64
    • libvirt-python-0.9.4-23.el6_2.6.x86_64
    • libvirt-client-0.9.4-23.el6_2.6.x86_64
