Unable to deploy application using JON due to IncompleteDeploymentException in target JBoss server resource

Issue

  • Get the following error when trying to deploy an EAR to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP):
    org.rhq.plugins.jbossas.helper.MainDeployer$DeployerException:Failed to deploy /opt/jboss-eap-4.3/jboss-as/server/production/deploy/webstore-ear.ear -> org.mc4j.ems.connection.EmsInvocationException:Exception on invocation of [deploy]org.mc4j.ems.connection.EmsConnectException: Connection failure null -> org.mc4j.ems.connection.EmsConnectException:Connection failure null -> javax.management.MBeanException:null -> org.jboss.deployment.IncompleteDeploymentException:
  • Failed to deploy an EAR via JON
  • Application deployment fails due to IncompleteDeploymentException occurring in EAP server.

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 2.3, 2.3.1
  • JBoss Application Server (AS) Server Resource in JON Inventory
  • Deployment of application service resource (WAR, EAR, EJB, etc)
