virsh migrate fails if hostname cannot be resolved

Issue

  • Live migration fails in the case that a host name can't be resolved. "virsh migrate" fails with the following error message.

    # virsh migrate --live rhel60_33 qemu+ssh://192.168.1.30/system
 error: internal error canonical hostname pointed to localhost, but this is not allowed

  • When host names can be resolved by the following configuration, live migration succeeds.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 Beta 2 snapshot 7
  • Kernel Version: kernel-2.6.32-44.el6.x86_64
  • Related Package Version: libvirt-client-0.8.1-13.el6.x86_64
