Distorted color is displayed on text console on servers using AST2500 graphics

Issue

• Color is distored on text console on servers using AST2500 graphics (graphic driver is ast) when using RHEL7.5 kernels (kernel-3.10.0-862.*el7). There are two symptoms.
  • rhgb screen during boot is distorted. This will occur during every boot, but will return back to normal when rhgb screen ends.
  • Foreground and background colors of text console will not be white text on black. This will occur after the AC power cable is disconnected and reconnected on the server. It will return back to normal (white text on black) after either the graphic console is used, or when the text console is blanked.
