Message: "You are trying to use a connection factory that has been shut down" when kie-server is attempting to access the database

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • While the kieserver is trying to access the DB the following message is being logged:

    IJ000470: You are trying to use a connection factory that has been shut down: java:/jboss/datasources/BpmsDS

  • Error message in the server.log file:

    Failed to obtain DB connection from data source 'notManagedDS': java.sql.SQLException: Could not retrieve datasource via JNDI url 'jboss/datasources/quartzNotManagedDS' javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jboss/datasources/quartzNotManagedDS
