sshd fails with a "undefined symbol FIPS_mode" after updating a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 machine
Issue
- System was updated from RHEL 5.2 to RHEL 5.5
- After the update, sshd does not start anymore. It prints the error "
undefined symbol FIPS_mode"
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5
- openssh-4.3p2-41.el5
- openssl-0.9.8b-10.el5
