Issue

  • OpenStack instances backed by Ceph RBD will not migrate and stay in migrating state forever.
  • OpenStack instance live migration failed

  • librbd: Refuses to release the lock when the cookie is the same at rewatch.

  • With debug_rbd = 20 in client logs:

       2018-08-27 14:23:19.366961 7f5d577fe700 10 librbd::ExclusiveLock: 0x7f5d34007900 send_reacquire_lock: skipping reacquire
   since cookie still valid
