Issue

  • An RHEL 7 server with Hadoop and CGroup configured, randomly crashes with Hard Lockups.

Environment

  • RHEL 7.3

    • Observed on 3.10.0-693.5.2.el7.x86_64

  • RHEL 7.5

    • Observed on 3.10.0-862.3.2.el7.x86_64

  • Hadoop/YARN installed.

  • CGroups configured on the server.
