Satellite API calls error in 404 responses

Issue

  • Calls to the Red Hat Satellite API return 404 responses:

    xmlrpclib.ProtocolError: <ProtocolError for satfqdn/rpc/api: 404 Not Found>

  • ssl_access_logs were showing the following:

    "POST /rpc/api HTTP/1.0" 404

    The 404 errors occur because the /rpc/api directory does not exist on the Apache stack and must be proxied to the Tomcat stack.
