Error during authentication with GitLabIdentityProvider using HTTP URL in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

Issue

• Is it possible to use an http scheme for authentication with Master API using GitLabIdentityProvider?
• Is https scheme compulsory to be used with GitLabIdentityProvider for authentication?

• Why does Master API throw the given error when using http scheme with GitLabIdentityProvider:

  oauthConfig.identityProvider[0].provider.url: Invalid value: "http://gitlab.example.com/": must use https scheme
