Why does abrt fail to capture application core dumps of executables which do not belong to any package ?

Issue

  • abrtd can't capture a coredump of executables which do not belong to any package:

Apr 30 17:17:31 hostname abrtd: 'post-create' on '/var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2013-04-30-17:17:31-21689' exited with 1
Apr 30 17:17:31 hostname abrtd: Corrupted or bad directory /var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2013-04-30-17:17:31-21689, deleting
