Persistence of Pod identifier across rescheduling in Red Hat Openshift Container Platform

Issue

• Is it possible for pods to have an environment variable (or something else) which would identify that pod with a unique identifier and in the event that it dies or redeploys, the pod can start with the same unique identifier?
