Artemis (AMQ 7) is unavailable in JBoss ON due to JMX server not configured

Issue

  • Artemis broker is unavailable and the following is warning is logged in the agent.log:

    Failed to connect to ResourceType[id=0, name=AMQ 7 Server, plugin=AMQ, category=Server][AMQ 7 Server{/path/to/my/amq-broker1}].
            org.mc4j.ems.connection.EmsConnectException: Could not connect [service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:1099/jmxrmi] org.mc4j.ems.connection.EmsConnectException: IOException: Check service availability
    

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.3.10, 3.3.11, 3.3.12
  • AMQ Management Plug-in Pack Update-07 for JBoss ON 3.3 and later
  • Red Hat AMQ (AMQ) 7.2.0
