RHEL7: sysrq from the commandline does not produce a Vmcore
Issue
- On RHEL7.5 sysrq fails to produce a Vmcore as follows. Instead the system just hangs until power cycled and there is nothing
/var/crash.
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq
# echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- kernel-3.10.0-862.el7.x86_64
- kdump
