"ERROR [org.rhq.server.control.RHQControl] error=2, No such file or directory" after applying JBoss ON Update

Issue

  • After applying update, running ./rhqctl start doesn't start the server and results in:
DEBUG [org.rhq.server.control.command.Start] Starting RHQ storage node
ERROR [org.rhq.server.control.RHQControl] error=2, No such file or directory: java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory
    at java.lang.UNIXProcess.forkAndExec(Native Method) [rt.jar:1.8.0_74]

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.3.10
