/dev/mapper/mpathX is apparently in use by the system; will not make a filesystem here!
Issue
- When trying to create a filesystem on device, it fails with the following 'in use' message:
# mkfs.ext4 /dev/mapper/mpathX
mke2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013)
/dev/mapper/mpathX is apparently in use by the system; will not make a filesystem here!

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5
