RHEL6: cachefilesd uses 100% of cpu

Issue

  • '%CPU' of top-command becomes 100% when cachefilesd exec

  • Checked top and found out that cachefilesd uses 100% of cpu resources.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
    • seen on RHEL 6.3, RHEL 6.5
  • cachefilesd userspace daemon, fscache (FS-Cache) kernel module
