Use of etc/sysconfig file in JWS on Windows

Issue

  • We see this reference to etc/sysconfig in postinstall.tomcat.bat:
echo  JAVA_HOME environment variable is not set.
echo  Either set the  JAVA_HOME  or edit the configuration
echo  scripts inside "C:/Program Files/jws-3.1/etc/sysconfig" directory
echo  and set the JAVA_HOME to the installed JDK location.
  • Is this file used or what would its contents be?

  • JBoss Enterprise Web Server (JWS) 3.x
  • Tomcat
  • Windows
