JBoss EAP management plug-in for JBoss ON is timing out while trying to connect

Issue

  • Unable to see JVM
  • agent.log reports error similar to:

    ERROR [InventoryManager.discovery-1] (rhq.core.pc.inventory.InventoryManager)- Failed to start component for Resource[id=33333, uuid=123bduuu-7a5a-3ab3-csde-bb1235555, type={JBossAS7}JBossAS7 Standalone Server, key=hostConfig: /path/to/the/standalone.xml, name=EAP (127.0.0.1:9990), parent=example.com, version=EAP 6.4.10.GA] from synchronized merge.
    org.rhq.core.clientapi.agent.PluginContainerException: Failed to start component for Resource[id=33333, uuid=123bduuu-7a5a-3ab3-csde-bb1235555, type={JBossAS7}JBossAS7 Standalone Server, key=hostConfig: /path/to/the/standalone.xml, name=EAP (127.0.0.1:9990), parent=example.com, version=EAP 6.4.10.GA] - Call to [org.rhq.modules.plugins.jbossas7.StandaloneASComponent.start()] with args [[org.rhq.core.pluginapi.inventory.ResourceContext@18548711]] timed out after 60 seconds - invocation thread will be interrupted. - Cause: org.rhq.core.pc.inventory.TimeoutException
