Could not find variable scope when running a process on JBoss BPM Suite 6.4

Issue

I'm getting the below messages when starting a subprocess:

 ERROR [org.jbpm.workflow.instance.node.SubProcessNodeInstance] (default task-22) Could not find variable scope for variable foo 
 ERROR [org.jbpm.workflow.instance.node.SubProcessNodeInstance] (default task-22) when trying to execute SubProcess bar
 ERROR [org.jbpm.workflow.instance.node.SubProcessNodeInstance] (default task-22) Continuing without setting parameter.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite (BPMS)
    • 6.4.0
    • 6.4.1
