jabberd processes occasionally failing to start with 'db: couldn't open environment: DB_VERSION_MISMATCH: Database environment version mismatch'
Issue
- Occasionally jabberd c2s and sm processes are not starting after performing a Satellite database backup
- /var/log/messages contains:
Feb 11 04:58:17 satellite jabberd/c2s[29232]: loading 'db' authreg module
Feb 11 04:58:18 satellite jabberd/c2s[29232]: db: couldn't open environment: DB_VERSION_MISMATCH: Database environment version mismatch
Feb 11 04:58:18 satellite jabberd/c2s[29232]: failed to initialize auth module 'db'
- Manually restarting jabberd resolves the issue.
