Getting error "undefined method `id' for nil:NilClass" while listing host_collection using an API call

Issue

  • Listing host_collection using an API call without specifying organization as in https://satellite.example.com/katello/api/host_collection, fails with below error:

    {"displayMessage":"undefined method `id' for nil:NilClass","errors":["undefined method `id' for nil:NilClass"]}
