OpenShift Container Platform nodes are experiencing disk pressure

Issue

  • OpenShift nodes are experiencing disk pressure. This is preventing pods from being scheduled on the nodes.
  • Following command provides the disk pressure info:
$ oc describe node node1 | grep -i DiskPressure
  DiskPressure          True    Tue, 20 Mar 2018 10:38:02 -0500         Wed, 07 Mar 2018 23:18:46 -0600  KubeletHasDiskPressure           kubelet has disk pressure
  • The file system shows plenty of space available.
  • log entries similar to node has conditions: [DiskPressure]
