Issue

  • During a "vi" session of a file, the session would hang for a few seconds
  • During session hangs and getting disk errors sd h:b:t:l: [sdx] tag#0 Command (00) failed: transaction cancelled (xxx:xxx) flags: 0 fcp_rsp: 0, resid=0, scsi_status: 0

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Has been observed on IBM Power8 hardware platform using RHEL version of LIttle Endian
  • Has been observed after RHEL upgrade
