"On Change Script Code" does not work properly for Short Date/Timestamp fields in Form Modeler for BPM Suite 6.4.x

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Environment

Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.4.x

Issue

  • There seems to be a bug in the implementation of the On Change Script Code for Short Date or Timestamp date pickers in the form builder. I have put a simple JavaScript alert in the On Change Script Code property of a date picker. When I select a date from the picker, the JavaScript is failing. However, if I click the X icon to clear the date, the JavaScript works. Also, the same JavaScript works fine in the On Change Script Code of any other field, e.g. a Short Text or Select Box.

  • There is an issue in the implementation of the "On Change Script Code" property for Short Date or Timestamp fields in the form modeler. If you add a simple javascript alert to that property, the alert is not fired if you click on the field or change the date after starting the process instance... alert is fired only by clicking on "x" button.

Resolution

It is fixed in Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite 6.4 Update 7 , please apply it and try again.
