ns-slapd crashes sporadically with segmentation fault in libslapd.so

Issue

There seems to be occasional 389-ds crashes when using schema-reload.pl. Crashes seem to be more frequent when there is more data/more schema files and more load in the system. Crashes seem to happen always in the same position.
Here is some copy/paste from /var/log/messages:
