RHEV: IP address change of an iSCSI Storage Domain (target) requires modification of engine database to reflect new IP and connect it.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After changing IP address for iscsi target, The changed IP address is not automatically reflected in the RHEV-M database and RHEV-M still tries to connect old addresses and eventually timeout and then declares storage_domain as inactive.

  • Host goes into Non-operational state, When the IP address of storage server is changed

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
  • Block-based storage domains (iSCSI)
