BIOS raid is not detected during Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 installation when Network OROM is disabled on BIOS

Issue

  • Any BIOS raid device are not detected during Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 installation when Network OROM (Option ROM) is disabled on BIOS.
  • The installation could complete when Network OROM was enabled.
  • UEFI is not enabled on this machine.
  • Why wasn't it detected only when Network OROM is disabled?
