Pod Quotas set to round numbers like 1000 are shortened to 1k and treated like 1

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • If I have 6 pods and when I set the max pod to 110, it works, because 110 > 6.
  • If I set the max pods to 1000, OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) converts this number to 1k and somehow OCP thinks 6 > 1k
  • Seems to be taking the "1k" part literally as a one and the letter "K".
