The gfs2_grow command incorrectly fails with "is not GFS2" error

Issue

  • Attempting to grow a GFS2 file system with the gfs2_grow command.
  • The command fails claiming that the file system is not GFS2 when it is:
    $ gfs2_grow /dev/mapper/clvmd--test--vg-testlv 
    gfs2_grow: Filesystem /dev/mapper/clvmd--test--vg-testlv is not GFS2
