  • The Oracle ASM createdisk command is failing
# service oracleasm createdisk asmdisklabel /dev/mapper/oracleasmdisk
Marking disk "asmdisklabel" as an ASM disk:              [ FAILED ]
  • The oracleasm log file is showing errors after attempting to use the createdisk command
# tail /var/log/oracelasm
