Network connections are failing to come up after changing the router that is directly connected to the system, but keeping the same IP address on the host
Issue
- Connectivity is lost to NetworkManager interfaces when moving a system to a different router, but keeping the same IP address
- Attempts to bring the connection up with
ifupon the system fail after moving a system to a different router, but keeping the same IP address
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (kernel version 2.6.32-358.el6.x86_64)
- NetworkManager-0.8.1-43.el6
- Direct connection to a router (ie, no switch between the host and router)
